Members of the Group present talks on architects and architectural styles – from Ancient sites to modern concepts and materials. Wren, through Adam to Rogers and Foster and lot more! Last formal meeting of term will be 21st July: a walk of architectural and social history interest led by Peter Tarshis around Kemp Town – with the title: A look at the growth and development of the area between the Palace Pier and Kemp Town. We will meet outside Harry Ramsden’s (opposite Palace Pier at 1.30 – note earlier time). This is a level walk with commentary and information by Peter; no inclines or steps and of about 1.5 hours duration. The Autumn term will resume with face to face meetings at the Crypt but will be Zoom enabled to allow for others to attend remotely. Future topics to include: Mausoleums, Art Deco, Arts and Craft,
These are ‘blended’ meetings – if you wish to join them via zoom then contact the convenor for details.
